This week we welcomed two new visiting researchers to the lab. Fulya is from Turkey and obtained a 3 month Erasmus placement to join our team. She is an undergraduate at Bilkent University and has just finished her third year.
Our second visiting researcher is Sayaka. Sayaka got her PhD earlier this year and works with Streptococcus pneumoniae. She wanted to gain experience in Salmonella and is hosted by Prof. Holden and the Thurston lab. We are excited to welcome her to the lab. Sayaka comes from Japan and did her PhD with Dr. Ogawa with a focus on autophagy.
