Hazel is the first official Thurston lab PhD student to have her viva. It was an exciting day and Hazel passed with minor corrections – well done Hazel. We enjoyed celebrating her success with dinner at our local Italian, which is becoming a traditional venue for viva celebrations, with my first PhD student, Regina celebrating her viva there as well.
