We have finally escaped the constraints of Imperial College’s web hosting and now have our new website.
Why? Because we want to share with you what life is like in the Thurston Lab, what we do and who we are.
For example, even though we are based in the Centre for Molecular Bacteriology and Infection, or CMBI, not all of us are microbiologists by training. I started of my scientific life as a geneticist interested in cell signaling and spent the first two years of my PhD studying antiviral immunity. For both Ines and Cullum, working with bacteria is also a new step in their careers and studies. Our attitude is that by working with bacteria we can learn a lot about the immune system, as well as the pathogen!
